Our March drive will be a "reverse" drive of last years Palo Alto hills drive with a Pacific Ocean addition. We will meet at the Half Moon Bay Coffee Company on Stone Pine Road and Main St. Half Moon Bay, just west of Hwy 92. The "back" parking lot we used last year has been fenced off, so we should plan on meeting in the lot adjacent to the coffee shop. See a map and get directions from Map Quest

The drive will begin in Half Moon Bay, south on Hwy 1 to Hwy 84,left on 84 up over the foothills and back down to Portola Valley to the Alpine Inn for lunch.

After some caffeine, we will leave around 10:00 am, West on Main St. through downtown Half Moon Bay and out to Hwy. 1 Southbound.

A few miles down the coast we will turn left on Hwy. 84, for a scenic drive through the valley and up the Skyline ridge. This is a paved well maintained two lane road, with possible bicycle traffic.

We'll then proceed up to Skyline and over dropping down to other side of the ridge into Portola Valley. Turn right on Portola Rd. and we loop around to Alpine Rd.

Turn left there and on to The Historic Alpine Inn for burgers, beer etc. A sunny day will allow us to eat outside on picnic tables. Oh, and for those of you who want to know, yes they do have vegie burgers.
