Bay Area 02 2nd year anniversary
In August 2000 Bay Area 02 celebrated its 2nd anniversary. Unlike our very first gathering in August 1998 which brought around 12-13 cars, this gathering boasted 36 2002s!
This year we met at the Presidio in San Francisco. The very same Presidio from the movie, the same place they film Nash Bridges and the same place that was an army base continuously for 218 years occupied by three different governments. The gathering was on the parade grounds with lots of parking and sitelines to boot!
It's hard to believe that Bay Area 02 has been around now for two years!!
We started as a group of Bay Area 2002 fans who met on Chris Kent's list and then met in person.
<kudos to Chris Kent> It's been an amazing transition from email contacts to meeting in person to monthly gatherings and now two years of getting together. Thanks everyone for your support.
